11 May 14 May Australia/Melbourne Blak Lines New Work Platform http://yirramboi.net.au/events/blak-lines-new-work-platform/ Artist: Various Artists Nation: AUS The Blak Lines New Work Platform is an opportunity for Indigenous independent artists making contemporary theatre, performance and dance to discuss their work with a group of invited presenters and producers. This is different from other opportunities – it’s informal, it’s all about conversation and lets artists yarn about their ideas with people who want to know more and can help out. Over 4 days, artists and producers will gather at YIRRAMBOI’s Festival Hub, WEELAM NGALUT at the Meat Market, to create greater awareness and understanding of the range of shows being made by Aboriginal and Torres Strait artists. Independent artists will be joined by representatives from ILBIJERRI Theatre, Yirra Yaakin Theatre Company and Moogahlin Performing Arts Inc to talk about new Indigenous work and exchange ideas on ways to present it together. Industry Only – By Invitation Meat Market RMIT School of Art art.school@rmit.edu.au
