Gabi Briggs and Arika Waulu come together as Real Blak Tingz to investigate and shift the power from an alien patriarchy to the ancient, ever-present Blak Matriarchy. We do so by intervening within public spaces and in the gallery through the act of curating and working with projection, video, photography, performance, as storytellers then as artists.
Indigenous dominated spaces offers us autonomy, safety and empowerment. For too long there has been an erasure of us through a volatile colonial narrative that lights flame to a genocidal agenda.
Join us as we curate your footpath around our space.
7pm, 10 May
