YIRRAMBOI means tomorrow in the shared languages of the Boon Wurrung and Woi Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nations Melbourne, Australia.
YIRRAMBOI Festival is Melbourne’s premier biennial First Peoples festival celebrating the vibrant living cultures and diverse contemporary practices of First Nations creatives.
YIRRAMBOI is guided by key principles of First Nations Leadership, New Work, and Visibility & Dialogue, overseen by the Elder’s Council of Kulin Leaders. YIRRAMBOI shifts paradigms and perceptions in how we engage with, talk about, and present First Peoples arts and culture.
The next YIRRAMBOI Festival is happening from Thursday 2 May to Sunday 12 May, 2019.
Full Program launched in March 2019.
Presented by City of Melbourne in partnership with First Peoples and Creative Victoria.
