Melbourne is many things to our community. It is your country, your birth land or the place you call home. It is a gathering place and ceremonial ground, a site of resistance and a night time playground for the young and young at heart.

BARRING YANABUL we all walk the path is YIRRAMBOI’s day-long city-wide blak out of First Nations talent, celebrating the power and diversity of First Peoples arts and cultures. On Saturday 11 May 2019, audiences will be invited to take a journey through Melbourne’s CBD and be entertained, enlightened and enthralled.

APPLICATIONS FOR BARRING YANABUL HAVE NOW CLOSED.

YIRRAMBOI is seeking Expressions of Interest from artists, collectives and community groups to present creative performances and activities on the streets and public spaces of Melbourne over the final weekend of YIRRAMBOI, for BARRING YANABUL.

Successful artists will be invited to attend a two-day intensive workshop in February 2019 (Test Sites Development), with industry specialists, to further develop their ideas. Artists will receive up to $3,000 (artist fees and materials) in support of their new project. All staffing, permits and technical fees will be covered by YIRRAMBOI.
