Applications for BARRING YANABUL have now closed.

YIRRAMBOI is seeking Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and/or First Nations artist/s to present live performances or installations on Saturday 11 May 2019 in various public spaces around the City of Melbourne’s Central Business District.  We are seeking to commission multiple live performances and installations covering any artistic genre.

Projects must:

Be suitable for presentation in outdoor, public spaces (including minimal technical / production requirements, and able to be installed and de-installed quickly)

Enhance the visibility of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and/or First Nations artist/s to the wider City of Melbourne population;

Show new ways of working in public spaces to engage audiences and create dialogue.

YIRRAMBOI will produce the project including confirmation of sites, the securing of relevant permits and production management across the event. You must visit your proposed site/s as part of your EOI planning to ensure your project will work in the space. We cannot guarantee that specific spaces will be available, so consider more than one potential site. The YIRRAMBOI team will advise on any site restrictions or challenges and assist in advising the optimum site for a proposal. You can use the maps utility through the City Of Melbourne website to assist in site research: http://maps.melbourne.vic.gov.au/
